'Sisters and Brothers: A Sibling Perspective on Post-Adoption Contact'

The purpose of this exploratory study is to provide an opportunity for people who have been separated from their siblings in childhood, through adoption, to look back from the perspective of adulthood and describe how the decisions made for them when they were children have affected their lives.

Biography

Sue is a PhD student and practicing Social Worker.   Sue completed an MSc in Social Work Research at Bristol in 2015, before commencing her PhD studies.   Sue is in the third year of a part-time PhD, currently undertaking a literature review and preparing a methodology chapter for a qualitative study, aiming to explore the experiences of adults who have been separated from their siblings in childhood through local authority adoption from care.
