I am interested in how private reading and public theatre engagement can be blended in transmedia stage adaptations of children's books that use a serial format to create intimate gaps between public performances, in which young people might interact with the story over a digital platform.

Biography

I am a first-year PhD candidate, funded by the SWW DTP for a practice-research project that bridges creative writing, children's literature, theatre for young audiences and transmedia storytelling. I'm a published children's author, winner of the Bath Children's Novel Award, and I also have a background in secondary-school teaching, using drama and digital platforms to engage young people.
