Ms Eve Benhamou


Eve Benhamou is a PhD candidate in Film Studies at the University of Bristol (funded by the University of Bristol Research Scholarship).

She completed an MA in History and Film at the University of Warwick (distinctions), during which she worked on postfeminism and gender constructions in Disney and Pixar 2010s animated fairy tales, focusing on the film texts, their production, marketing and merchandising.

Her thesis explores genre within Disney's contemporary feature-length animation (2006-2016), focusing more particularly on gender constructions, elements of aesthetics and narrative.

Her research interests also revolve around issues of race and gender in mainstream animation and Hollywood.
