Lindsey has two part time roles at the University.

She has worked as PolicyBristol Associate for the Faculties of Social Science & Law (FSSL) and Arts since April 2017 and jobshares with Emily Crick. In this role she supports academics to develop policy impact from their research at the local, national and international level. Her role involves mapping stakeholders and planning how to best engage with them; facilitating contacts between academics and policymakers and supporting the translation of academic knowledge into policy and practice using the range of mechanisms offered by PolicyBristol.

In January 2019 she began working as the Impact and Policy Engagement Manager for the MRC Integrative Epidemiology Unit. In this role she focuses on supporting MRC-IEU researchers to enhance the influence and impact of their research on health policy and practice.

Her previous roles include managing projects and developing learning materials for the adult social care sector at Research in Practice for Adults, a national charity that uses evidence to inform practice in social care, and working at Cornwall Council as a Knowledge Transfer Partnership Associate. Her PhD in social work centred on how to improve the effectiveness of safeguarding adults training. She provided part time cover for the Knowledge Exchange Development Associate role for the Faculty of Social Science and Law between July and September 2018.
