Research summary

I'm an EPSRC Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Physics Theory Group at Bristol and a visiting scientist at Ecole normale supérieure in Paris. My research field is statistical physics, which means that I use statistics to model many particles interacting with one another in a single system. This allows us to predict and utilize the macroscopic properties of the materials used in modern technology.

My research focuses on the statistical physics of real and emergent long-range interactions, and their relationship with phase transitions in condensed matter. One application of my work is superconductivity, which is a state in which the ...

Biography

I'm an EPSRC Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Physics Theory Group at Bristol and a visiting scientist at Ecole normale supérieure in Paris. Previously, I was a doctoral researcher at both University College London and Ecole normale supérieure de Lyon, under the supervision of Steve Bramwell and Peter Holdsworth.

I'm also an ambassador for STEM Learning: I teach coding to young people from disadvantaged backgrounds through Digilocal HBB, and also act as a mentor for the Social Mobility Foundation. I'm now helping Digilocal HBB to forge a long-term partnership with Bristol.
