Dr Emanuele Bagnaschi

Precision phenomenology of the Standard Model and beyond

I am post doctoral fellow in the theory group of the LTP laboratory at the Paul Scherrer Institut (PSI), in Villigen, Switzerland. The focus of my research activity is (precision) phenomenology of the Standard Model and beyond.

During my career, I have been involved in several different research topics, including: Monte Carlo simulation of Higgs boson production in gluon fusion the SM, 2HDM and the MSSM with a special interest in precise predictions for the Higgs transverse momentum distribution; Bayesian methods for theoretical uncertainty estimation in QCD; theoretical uncertainty estimation for Higgs boson production in the MSSM; computation of the Higgs mass in the MSSM with heavy spectra; global likelihood studies of various MSSM scenarios.

The global likelihood studies of the MSSM scenarios is what currently links me Bristol. Indeed, I have been performing these studies as a member of the MasterCode collaboration, among which members there is also Dr. Henning Flächer, senior lecturer at University.
