I am a post-doctoral researcher using zebrafish as a model organism for studying the biomechanical effects of genetic and physiological pathologies associated with human osteoarthritis. My background is in evolutionary biology, synchrotron-radiation tomographic imaging and computer vision analyses. Specifically, my PhD project was focussed on the exploration of dental hard tissues and their specific growth structures using tomographic imaging and computer vision, in order to analyse their periodicity and relationship with life history in living and fossil mammals.
