Biography

Andrew Blythe graduated from Oxford Medical School in 1990 and started work as a GP in 1995. He has been a partner at Gaywood House Surgery in Bedminster, Bristol, since 1999. He is Director of Assessments and Feedback for the MB ChB Programme at Bristol.

Teaching

Andrew is Director and Assessments and Feedback for the MB ChB Programme and chairs the group that runs Finals.  In addition he teaches students in years 4 and 5 of the MB ChB programme on several different aspects of Primary Care. For several years he was Head of Teaching for Primary Care.  He is Bristol's representative on the Medical School Council Assessment Alliance and is an External Examiner at the Queen's University Belfast and the University of Warwick. From 2007-13 he was an external examiner at the University of Oxford. In 2015 he won the University of Bristol Award for Teaching (Medicine & Dentistry).
