Research summary

Together with Prof Michael Lee we have secured funding for a PhD student to look at the goat industry and investigate the most significant problems in health and production.

I have an interest in infectious diseases of small ruminants in particular sheep. I have worked worked for the past twenty years on Campylobacter abortion in sheep and for the greater part on footrot in sheep. Rose has an interest in infectious diseases of small ruminants in particular sheep. She has worked for the past twenty years on Campylobacter abortion in sheep and for the greater part on footrot in sheep. During her time at the Royal Vet College she has conducted the first survey on lameness in sheep in the UK which identified footrot and scald as the main causes of lameness.
