Dr Hannah Christensen


After completing her first degree in Biology at the University of Nottingham, Hannah spent three years working as an analyst for the Health Protection Agency South West Regional Epidemiology Unit and the South West Public Health Observatory.  She joined the Department of Social Medicine (now the School of Social and Community Medicine) as a PhD Fellow in 2007, funded by an NIHR Researcher Development Award.  Hannah spent 2 years as a post-doc working on the TARGET study, an NIHR-funded Programme Grant aiming to improve the quality of care given to children presenting to primary care with respiratory tract infections (RTIs).  Her current research focuses on the potential epidemiological and economic impact of introducing vaccines against serogroup B meningococcal disease.
