I am currently researching compact, efficient and tunable/reconfigurable antennas for wireless communications applications in the frequency range 300 – 3 GHz (UHF band).

Biography

Oliver is a member of the University of Bristol Centre for Doctoral Training in Communications. He is currently researching compact, efficient and tunable/reconfigurable antennas for wireless communications applications in the frequency range 300 – 3 GHz (UHF band).

Oliver graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2011, with a first-class MSci (Hons.) in Physics. Oliver is a member of the IoP, IET, IEEE and Linux Foundation.

Oliver studies Japanese language and culture, culminating in an internship at Toshiba's research laboratory in Kawasaki, Japan in Autumn 2014 on localisation algorithms for smart grid applications. Oliver also attempts to fly anything that will move, acting as a pilot for Bristol University Hot Air Ballooning Society (BUHABS), and served as vice-president of the Bristol University Gliding Club (BUGC).
