Cheng Huan Zhong was born in WenZhou, China, in 1987. He received a B.Eng. degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Bristol, Bristol, England, in 2010. Since 2011, he has been a Ph.D. student at the University of Bristol, where he has worked on the development of passive wireless transducers for structural health monitoring. Since 2013, he has been a Research Assistant in the nondestructive testing (NDT) group in University of Bristol, where he works on optimization of inductively coupled transducer system for NDT. His current research interests include structural health monitoring, passive wireless transducers, metamaterials, and smart composites with embedded transducers.
