Research summary

The quantum nature of light can help us solve today's informational problems, but to do so we require large scale quantum photonic devices and systems. My work with linear and nonlinear silicon photonics aims to address this technology gap.

I hold a Leverhulme Early Career Fellowship, allowing me to pursue my research into long-wavelength quantum optics, entitled Silicon quantum computing: light work with long waves. I completed my PhD, entitled Entangled light in silicon waveguides, as an Alexander Graham Bell Canada Postgraduate Scholar at the University of Bristol's Centre for Quantum Photonics, supervised by Profs. Mark Thompson and Jeremy O'Brien. I hold a BSc in Engineering Physics from the University of Alberta.
