Biography

Knowledge of the formation and evolution of the Earth’s earliest crust is inhibited by the absence of rocks greater than 4 billion years old. However, this missing time period and much of the Archean has been sampled by zircons from Jack Hills and Mt Narryer in the Yilgarn Craton, Western Australia. My PhD research will expand on the zircon record by studying the Re-Os and PGE systematics of detrital magnetic minerals (such as chromite, spinel and magnetite) found within zircon-bearing metasediments.
