Dr Magda Buchczyk

Biography

Magda earned her PhD in Anthropology from Goldsmiths, University of London (2015) and holds an MA in Cultural Heritage Studies from the University College London (2010). Her research revolves around the anthropology of material culture, heritage & knowledge practices. Conducting ethnographic research of museum collections and their histories, as well as crafts and learning. 

Magda's doctoral study was an AHRC-funded Collaborative Doctoral Studentship between Goldsmiths College and the Horniman Museum. This project used an ethnographic and material culture perspective to reassess museum artefacts.
